LIGHTING THE SPIRIT

Kura kaupapa Maori schools arose in the 1980s as part of a broader movement to revitalize Te Reo. While progress has been made in years since, more work is needed, and teachers working at a community level -- as Kylie Hollis does -- may offer the best way forward.
